5G O-RAN Base Station

As a supplement to the macro station solution, O-RAN distributed base stations have two main application scenarios: 1. High traffic scenarios: Areas such as airports, stations, large-scale competition venues, etc., have a large flow of people and require high network requirements. By deploying small cells, the network capacity in the target area is enhanced. 2. Weak coverage scenarios: In places where it is difficult for macro stations to cover, such as office buildings, basements, and elevators, small base stations can be deployed to fill blinds in these scenarios. That is, in places with dense crowds and buildings, the weak coverage areas and blind spots of the macro station signal can be supplemented in a targeted manner to ensure signal quality. In hotspot areas, small base stations can implement frequency reuse in a smaller range due to their low power, increase capacity, and help macro base stations to offload.

Overview - Genew 5G Base Station Product

Genew 5G NR BBU can be connected to either macro RRU or micro RRU. Up to 64 5G NR RRUs can be connected through EU. Effectively solve the needs of large-scale and large-capacity coverage scenarios such as indoors, parks, and mines. Maximum capacity index of a 5G NR BBU:

   1) 8 communities with 100MHz bandwidth.

   2) The number of concurrently activated users is 3200, and the number of RRC connected users is 9600.

   3) The maximum throughput is 12.8Gbit.
